Team Tonga 3x3 Basketball – Final Results at Pacific Mini Games 2025

A proud finish for our Basketball 3x3 teams at the 2025 Pacific Mini Games in Palau. Competing with heart and unity, both teams showcased the strength and talent of Tongan basketball on the regional stage.
Silver for the Women’s Team
Our women’s team delivered an outstanding tournament run, securing the silver medal after a close and hard-fought final against Fiji. The final score stood at 16–12, with Team Tonga fighting to the last minute. Their teamwork, spirit, and composure earned praise from spectators and officials alike and mark an inspiring milestone for women’s basketball in Tonga.
4th Place for the Men’s Team
Our men’s team put on strong performances throughout pool play and knockout rounds. They narrowly missed out on a podium finish, falling short in the bronze medal match 21–18 against the host nation, Palau. Despite the result, the team’s determination and fighting spirit were clear in every match, and they leave the Games with valuable experience for future competitions.
Both teams were supported by dedicated coaches and officials who ensured players were well-prepared and focused throughout the Games.
Mālō ‘aupito to all the players, coaches, and management for representing the Kingdom with pride and setting an example for the next generation of Tongan basketball players.
