Athletics Shines at Pacific Mini Games 2025

TEAM TONGA ATHLETICS RECAP | PACIFIC MINI GAMES 2025
Our Athletics team delivered an outstanding campaign at the Pacific Mini Games 2025 in Palau, bringing home a total of four medals and demonstrating immense talent, determination, and pride for the Kingdom.
Gold Medal
- Ata Maama captured the top podium spot in the Women’s Shot Put with exceptional strength and technique, earning Tonga’s only gold in athletics this Games.
Bronze Medals
- Ofa Tuifua sprinted with power and resilience to secure bronze in the Women’s 400m Hurdles.
- Manatu Hafoka earned two bronze medals — one in the Women’s 100m Hurdles, showing incredible speed and focus, and a second in the Heptathlon, where Manatu accumulated 3,228 points across seven demanding events, proving her versatility and endurance.
Mālō ‘aupito to our athletes, coaches, and support staff for their dedication and the pride they bring to Tonga on the regional stage. Their achievements inspire the next generation of Tongan athletes.
