Tonga Tala Qualify for Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games

The Tonga Tala Netball Team has officially qualified for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games after retaining their Top 10 world ranking, becoming the first Tongan sport to secure qualification for the Games.

The Tonga Sports Association and National Olympic Committee (TASANOC) is proud to announce that the Tonga Tala Netball Team has secured automatic qualification for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.


By maintaining their position inside the world’s Top 10, the Tala earn their place in the Games, making history as the first Tongan sport to qualify for 2026.

This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of the players, coaches, and officials of the Tonga Netball Association, whose commitment to excellence continues to raise the profile of Tongan sport on the international stage.

TASANOC warmly congratulates the Tonga Netball Association and the Tala for this milestone and looks forward to supporting the team as they prepare to proudly represent the Kingdom in Glasgow.
